Seth, LOA, and Mass Events

Given that I’ve recently experienced the reality of the economic downturn, it seems appropriate that I’ve been reading Jane Robert’s The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events.

Seth (the entity channeled by Jane Roberts) says that most of our experience is perceived through a veil of myth. That myth is the belief that all perception and knowledge must come to us through our physical senses. And it is this myth in particular that prevents us from seeing our own involvement with mass events so that mass events seem rather random, and we often appear to be the victims of them rather than factors in their cause.

It is true that even when we accept that we create our reality, when our reality seems to take a turn for the worse, we almost always interpret reality by data we observe in our physical experience. It’s almost like we can’t help ourselves from such kneejerk responses . Yet it’s this shift in perception, this amnesia about our involvement in the creation of reality that ties our hands and casts us as victims of our personal dramas. It’s at this point that we set aside the tools and awareness that would lift us to a more powerful vantage point where we can participate in the creation of reality with awareness.
At the same time, our intense focus on physical reality shuts us off from the awareness of the non-physical reality, the psychic reality, or inner reality that is comprised of associations, beliefs, and emotions that determine how the elements of physical reality come together in our personal experience.

I have a vague, sort of roughed-out idea of how this relates to creating en masse—though it is not easy to articulate this concept: Our beliefs, attitudes, fears, are not exclusively ours. We share them through words, actions, and vibrations. At the same time, those who resonate with our own words, actions, and vibrations, are drawn into our reality and the vibrations are compounded as more people resonate with and join in the vibration.

Because there are so many vibrations being attracted and compounded, there is no changing the vibration. The only vibration you have real power to change by yourself is your own. Once you change your vibration, you will no longer resonate with the mass vibration you once did. You have not changed the mass vibration except to make it a bit less powerful and to make another vibration—the one which you joined, more powerful.

But in changing your own vibration, you have begun to attract differently, drawing others with a matching vibration into your experience so that it too can expand and compound.

So now the question is, how do individuals shift into a more powerful vibration regarding the economy?
