Segment Intending

15 December, 2009 (13:08) | Exploring Law of Attraction | By: Lanore

One of my favorite and most useful techniques I learned from Abraham of Abraham-hicks.com is Segment Intending.

I began using this when I first became a student of Law of Attraction and have had miraculous results with it. The strangest things can happen when you use intending in small segments. You’re running late for work, but you intend to be on time, even though logic tells you there is no possible way. Yet somehow, you’ve set your intention to be on time and you are. How did that happen? It takes 20 minutes to get to work and without speeding you make it in 15 minutes? I know it sounds unbelievable, but I’m just telling you the results I’ve personally experienced.

I admit my version of segment intending is rather sloppy. Unlike Abraham’s version of it when you break your day into segments such as awakening, breakfast, drive to work, morning meeting, etc., my version is more like using segment intending when I think I really need it during the day. I use it when I drive to work for safety. I use it when I start my route for safety. I use it when I know I’m going to have a very rushed day for efficiency and speed. I use it when I’m going to be spending time with relatives or people I either don’t really like or don’t know very well or have had some issue with in the past.

I always set my intention in my mind and try to say it out loud, ending it with a firm statement of conviction. If people ask me what I’m saying, I tell them it’s a prayer, which it really is. Below are some examples,

I intend to arrive at work safely, interacting harmoniously with all people, creatures, machinery, road conditions, traffic conditions, tire conditions, vehicle conditions, weather conditions, and events along the way. I intend this, and so it is. (I use this one any time I’m on the road.)

I intend to have a good time with relatives this weekend, communicating easily and joyfully, interacting with ease, giving and accepting love and help. I intend this, and so it is.

I intend to do my work today with speed, efficiency, and accuracy, interacting with others harmoniously, joyfully while bringing more prosperity into my life. I intend this, and so it is.

These intentions take only seconds to implement, but bring greater harmony, prosperity, and safety into my life. Try some of your own—you’ll be amazed at the results
