Reality Shifts As Our Perceptions Change

5 December, 2009 (14:46) | Books about Law of Attraction, Exploring Law of Attraction, Focus and Attention, Intention | By: Lanore

As a young woman I studied the Bible seriously. I felt then, as I still do, that our spiritual lives are the most important responsibility we have to attend. Over the last 30 years I’ve studied a great deal of spiritual material and the previous spiritual works studied have changed dramatically during that time.

Did I say that right? Have those works really changed? Well, not literally. But as I have expanded my understanding of spiritual concepts, the meaning of the Bible, for example, has changed, indeed specific verses now mean something radically different than what they meant when I was a spiritual pup and things I never noticed before now stand out in stark contrast to my earlier impressions of the work.

This is an example of how we filter out information from our experiences that do not mesh with our beliefs and our concept of reality. Information we are not open to, typically escapes our notice and we tend to view experiences through the lens of our beliefs about reality.

If you were fortunate enough to have grown up without the burden of religious indoctrination, your experience of reality will be different, perhaps  broader and more open to Law of Attraction than individuals whose perceptions of reality are girdled by a single religious perspective. You have fewer hurdles to overcome in achieving an awareness of your own ability to affect and create your own reality.

As you go through each day, expand your creative power and awareness by deciding to consciously remember that you influence and create reality ALL THE TIME, without exception. More conscious awareness of this ability will give birth to greater access to your ability to consciously create and influence reality as you choose.

Seek and you will find. Matt 7:7

Whoever has will be given more…Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. Matt 13:12
